Deleting your MedNAIS account

You can delete your MedNAIS account yourself, in the app or here. It takes effect at once and cannot be undone. This page says what is removed, what a shared organisation keeps, and why.

How to delete your account

  1. On the web: sign in, open “Sign-in and security” from the account menu, and use “Delete my account” at the foot of the page.
  2. On iPhone or Android: open the app, go to your account, and use “Delete my account”. There is no form to send and nobody to ask.
  3. Either way, you confirm by typing the e-mail address the account belongs to. Nothing is deleted until you do.

What is removed

  • The account, and every way of signing in to it: the e-mail address, the password if you set one, and any Google or Apple identity linked to it. Every session on every device ends.
  • Your name, your picture and your e-mail address.
  • Any watch you paired, any request to join an organisation you were waiting on, and the record of your having accepted the terms.
  • Any organisation you own that has nobody else in it — with its SOPs, runs, documents and uploaded files.

What a shared organisation keeps

A completed SOP is the organisation's record of its own work rather than a personal file. It is what an inspection or an incident review asks for, and the organisation's own timings are calculated from it — so deleting it would change, retroactively, numbers other people rely on. These stay:

  • The SOPs you performed: which version, when, in what order, and how long each step took.
  • The organisation's audit entries for administrative actions you took, and the record that you wrote or published a particular SOP.
  • Documents and files you uploaded for an organisation. They belong to the organisation rather than to you.

None of it names you afterwards. What is left of your profile is an identifier those records point at, with nothing in it: no name, no address, no picture. Screens and exports say “Deleted account” where your name used to be.

When it happens

At once. The account is gone by the time the page changes, and files belonging to a deleted organisation are removed from storage within a day. Nothing is kept in a recoverable state and there is no period in which you could change your mind.

If you cannot sign in

Deleting your account is meant to need nobody's permission, so signing in is the quickest way. If you cannot — a mailbox that is closed, an address you no longer have — write to us and we will do it for you: mednais@samplify.org
